Abstract

In his articles and artworks, Jan van Boeckel explores how art could help to gain a deeper understanding of biological phenomena, for example through personal (sensory) experience or by engaging the imagination. This imagination can be supported by artistic activities that involve doubt and error as one of the paths to knowledge.
